We take the protection of your personal information seriously. We employ a range of safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss and theft as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use and modification, including physical, organizational and technological measures, commensurate with the sensitivity of your personal information. Our employees have access to your personal information only on a need-to-know basis, and are required to keep such personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which it was provided. They all sign a Distinctive Code of Conduct and Code of Computer Conduct that include information on their obligations in respect of your personal information.

Where we use service providers who might have access to your personal information in order to assist us in offering and administering the Website, we require them to have privacy and security standards that are comparable to our own. We use contracts and other measures with our service providers to maintain the confidentiality and security of your personal information and to prevent it from being used for any other purpose.

Please be aware that no data security measures can guarantee 100% security. Your personal information is securely stored until such time as it is no longer required, after which it is destroyed, making it impossible to identify you.

From time to time, and with your consent by signing up to receive our newsletters, we may send you marketing emails to inform you of new products or services or provide other information or offers. If you do not wish to receive marketing emails, you can click the “unsubscribe” link in any of these emails. To comply with Canada’s anti-spam legislation, Distinctive’s newsletter must include certain prescribed information and an “unsubscribe” link. If you choose not to receive marketing emails, please be advised that you will continue to receive communications and emails from us for information purposes in connection with the brand(s) or product(s) you have interacted with through a contest or request for information.
